Jane knew that she was going to go to the party even if her husband did not. The problem was that if he did not go she would be the only one there without a date. That would be quite embarrassing for her and she did not want that to happen again after her last party when she was the only one that went with a date. So she walked into the bedroom and decided to drag him out of bed promising that this would be the last time she would do this to him.

Jame woke up when Jane came in and pulled all the sheets off of him. James knew that it was time to go to the dreaded party that he did not want to be at. However, he would go just to make Jane happy and ensure that she was able to keep her job without having to beg to stay on at the company.

As they walked out the door Jane turned and ran back to the bedroom. She had almost forgotten that she told everyone that she would be bringing her pearl izumi shorts. Those shorts had cost her a fortune and her husband had barely forgiven her for spending so much money on that item as it is.

The party was rather boring for James and he ambled on over to the bar. He knew that the drinks were going to be free just like they always were at the party. He just hoped that no one would come up and talk to him because he was not feeling like talking.

That is when Jane’s boss walked up onto the stage and announced that they would be doing something this year that they had never done before. That was give away some wonderful prizes to those people that decided to show up tonight. That caught James attention and the first item that was brought up on the stage was a mongoose mountain bike. He knew that the bike was worth a fortune just by looking at it and he hoped that him or Jane would win it.

The first prize went to Bob from accounting, but that was okay because the next prize was a pair of diamondback bikes. Those bikers would fit James and Jane perfectly. James started growing excited as the tumbler was going around and he knew that they would have a chance to win it.

They left the office party that night on the bikes knowing that they had a blast. The problem was the evening was just ending and it would be back to work tomorrow for them both. So the bike ride would have to wait for another day or two.
